Solar-powered printing inks.

The new and easy way to print durable designs on any natural fabric.

  • 1. Apply

Coat your shirt or fabric with sunlight-activated Inkodye in a dim environment.
  • 2. Mask

Negatives or objects can be used to selectively block light from activating Inkodye. Use the Lumi App to create negatives.
  • 3. Expose

Inkodye develops its color in sunlight or bright UV, about 10 to 20 minutes on a bright day.
  • 4. Wash

Remove the unexposed dye using Inkowash to make your print permanent.

No fancy equipment necessary.

Inkodye is designed for the home user. Because it is sunlight-activated you can create a great print without needing expensive screen-printing or heat-setting equipment.

Long-lasting prints.

Inkodye is a true vat dye, the most permanent family of dyes in the world. This category of dyes is used to color military uniforms, service uniforms and authentic blue jeans.

Vat dyes are known for their resistance to fading. Once printed, the color does not rub off, does not fade in sunlight and can even withstand bleach washing.

Made for natural materials.

Inkodye is designed for printing natural fibers such as cotton, linen, rayon and silk. Inkodye can also be used as a dye or paint to color almost any absorbent natural material:

Ready to roll.

Only with Inkodye can you start printing instantly. Inkodye is pre-mixed and ready to roll with our custom-made Inkocap Roller applicator.

The new Inkodye Snap Packs are just as simple. Bend in half to break the seal, then simply squeeze and use the packet itself as a spreader.

Safe, water-based fun.

Unlike plastisol inks, cyanotype or many alternative photo chemicals, Inkodye does not use PVC, iron or silver in its formula.

Our water-based formula is safe to use at home and pour down the drain. With our safety precautions in mind, Lumi printing is a fun family-friendly activity.

Mix, remix and dilute.

Inkodye is available in nine mixable colors.

Because it is water-based Inkodye can easily be diluted with water to create lighter shades for pastel colors and distressed, vintage looks. You can even blend Inkodye colors together to create new colors and effects.
